The city for stoners and scholars, gay rights and human rights, sun worshippers and skiers, artists and performers, beer lovers and bike riders.
Could Denver, Colorado be the best city in the United States?

We like to haul our trailer on vacation, but were very disappointed to find Denver has no RV parks (except one I wouldn’t take a dog to). Makes it difficult to visit family more often. Otherwise a great city.
Just to clarify, yes if you travel here from sea-level you will get drunk quicker. But only the first couple of days you are here. Us locals get drunk at the same rate as everybody else because our bodies have adjusted to the level of oxygen in the air. Don’t go thinking you can move to Denver and cut down on your alcohol expenses, because that’s not the case.
also, zed nederland… i don’t think it’s a fair statement to call people who like to smoke bud on the regular “junkies”… you need to get out more, maybe you need to smoke a bowl, you seem a little tense.
and that IS the reality of this country, marijuana is becoming socially acceptable pretty much across the entire country (slowly, but surely), so your uptight ass better get used to it or else YOU’RE going to be the one living in a dream world where nobody smokes trees… AND, it IS safer than alcohol… have you ever met a single person who has died single handily from smoking too much weed? no, you haven’t, and if you say you have you are a liar, but how many people every single day die from alcohol? my step father passed away this past summer from alcoholism, my mother has struggled with alcoholism for a good portion of her life (grateful she is sober today and hopefully for every other day in her future), my uncle passed away in 2009 from long term effects of alcohol… but please, carry on about how alcohol is safer than smoking weed, you were really on to something there -_- i myself have battled with drug addiction far worse than anything you could ever imagine, i WISH the only drug i ever desired to use was weed… according to the government and in court you can not legally claim drug addiction for any marijuana violations, because it’s not considered an addictive drug (although, some people might argue that)… you just made a complete fool out of yourself and you clearly are basing your OPINIONS on stereotypes and stigmas that you’ve heard from your uptight friends and family or from tv shows/movies… sorry that i’m not sorry that i will never be as uptight, judgmental and boring as you are. it makes me so happy to know that there are so many people in “YOUR” state with “YOUR” people that are being pissed off by the honest, friendly and happy people that are flooding “YOUR” streets. it’s people like you that are this country’s problem. oh, and by the way, i hold state and national titles in ski racing, i am nearly finished with my bachelors degree in nursing and my minor in biology, i have a 3.95GPA and i come from a loving, successful and supportive family. please, judge me.
So, I am curious…are you saying that the 4th best reason to be in Denver is that 52% of the people are white and only 10% are black…because that is what it reads like.
