A reservoir as a lake, to someone like me from Michigan, is like a closed landfill as a mountain resort to someone from Colorado. For the better part of the 12 years living in Colorado, I regarded our reservoirs as supersized water tanks and gave them neither much attention nor respect.
It was a Lake Dillon camping trip this past weekend that changed my preconceived notions.
Here are a few reasons as to why:
Pine Cove Campground, Lake Dillon, Colorado
Lake Dillon, Colorado
Lake Dillon Colorado from Prospector Campground
Lake Dillon, Colorado from the highway between Prospector and Lowry campgrounds
Lake Dillon from Prospector Campground
Lake Dillon from Prospector Campground

Beautiful pictures. Thanks for posting. Makes me want to go! The mountains are so enormous!
Thanks so much! So glad you liked them!
